Stutors Academic Tutoring Program

As Stanford students, we know what it takes to be an effective learner - and we want all of our students to develop the skills they need to succeed in highschool, college, and beyond.

The Stutors Academic Tutoring program emphasizes cumulative learning: introduction, integration, repetition and review. We establish a learning plan with consistent weekly meetings to address both immediate and underlying academic needs. As you master core concepts, we will help you implement a steady schedule of review and preview to stay on top of your coursework.

Meet Stutors exceptional team of instructors

Goals

  • Master course concepts and skills, and perfect their application.

  • Build effective study habits: Learn how you learn best and make it work for you.

  • Practice sound academic planning: Get on top - and stay on top - of coursework.

Tailored One-to-one Instruction

  • We follow your course curriculum - supplementing lessons with content-enriching discussion and practice to deepen your understanding.

  • We show you how to use study skills in the context of your coursework so you can integrate them into daily practice.

  • We provide detailed lesson notes to highlight key concepts and support your home practice.

  • As your academic needs evolve, we will adjust your learning plan to make sure you have the study schedule you need to reach your goals.

Communication: We use honest dialogue across the learning team - parent, tutor, student, program manager - to build and maintain comfortable and effective tutoring relationships. Parents stay in touch with the learning process and monitor progress by reading our online lesson notes. We are always ready to discuss questions, concerns, and emerging needs in person or via phone and e-mail.

Consistency: We meet on a regular weekly basis - using homework-free sessions to review, preview, and get ahead. We will work with you to identify the most effective schedule to meet your needs.

Thanks for suggesting Naupaka. He is an excellent fit for my daughter. He goes above and beyond, finding books that he thinks are helpful, drawing charts and pictures! She got 90% in her last Biology test.
